If you can read this, you are more than likely still alive. That means that right now, at this very instant, you hold the ability to go out into this world and become whatever it is that you’d like to be. As much as it is forced into your skull, there are no rules. If you are someone who currently doesn’t like who they are, you are in luck. Because the beauty of it all is that when you wake up tomorrow, you can choose to be someone different. Someone that you are content with. Someone that you genuinely enjoy being. And nobody can tell you that that’s not who you are. Because if they did, they’d be wrong.
I fear that by the time we’re all grey, that our children will be even less empathetic than we are. Less inclined to help someone that they do not know for the sake of knowing that someone would do it for them. Less connected with the fact that the way they speak to people alters the way that said people feel about themselves. And mostly, less likely to even know what it’s like to have people who they do not know exchange common respect with them. We live in a time that doesn’t acknowledge a need for kind smiles, simple handshakes, or the ability to express our opinions without being utterly destructive towards one another. I’m not sure what it would take for people to start treating others as they would like others to treat them, but I am sure of one thing. We need it.
Dear friends,
If you are reading this, you are more than likely seeking confirmation that I am the new vocalist for Attack Attack! This is true. After Caleb and AJ decided that they would no longer continue on with the band, I was asked if I would like to join and make a new record with them. I said yes to both. The decision was very easy to make due to the fact that we’ve been friends for almost the entire duration of both our band’s careers.
To be clear, this does not mean that I Am Abomination is over. At all. I will be fulfilling my roll in each band simultaneously, and since I Am Abomination doesn’t tour much (or at all), it really won’t change much about us. The biggest difference is that we won’t be in the same room while working on the early stages of each record.
This part is my favorite. Starting on January 5th, I will be making a new record with Attack Attack! Over the last few years, my best friend/guitarist/vocal coach/life coach has become one of the most amazing producers in the industry right now, and I am proud to say that Nick Sampson will be producing the new Attack Attack! record. The direction of the new album is definitely a bit of a change up, but I feel that the band has made a name for themselves inside of their genre by being the band to change the game first. We plan to do that again.
And in closing, thank you to every single person who has ever supported me in all that I do. I appreciate it more than you could ever know. However, I am not asking for your approval. I do not need you to sign off on the matter. This is not an application. I
wouldn’t have accepted the offer if I didn’t think that I could make respectable music with them. I am simply informing you that the world is going to be taken over in 2013, and I’m inviting you all along for the ride. I would enjoy your company.
P.S. There will be a new Attack Attack! song posted TOMORROW!

Just went through the absolute worst toe stubbing of my life. The kind that makes you feel like the entire earth is on the verge of collapse. (Taken with instagram)
